Welcome
Drum and Belly Dance Friends!
Casey Bond loves having fun with a drum- and she wants you to have fun, too! She’s a perennial favorite at belly dance and music festivals, including The Atlantic Antic, Art of the Belly, Queensboro Dance Festival, NYC Dance Parade, The Greek Jewish Festival, Belly Dance America’s NYCairo, NEATS (North East American Tribal Style) Camp, SuperFun DanceCamp, Caramoor Outdoors, Rakkasah East/Spring Caravan, The Cloister’s Medieval Festival, Golden Fest, and Philadelphia Folk Song Society’s Spring Thing. She’s renowned for her weekly Raq Steady ensemble drum classes on Long Island and NYC, with an impressive 14 year run from 2006-2020. (Thanks, Covid!) These days, she’s focusing on facilitating workshops at music and dance festivals and private classes. She’s the founder/artistic director for the Raq Steady student percussion ensemble, with some of her original drum compositions featured on her CD Raq Steady: Greatest Hits Volume One, available on Amazon Music.
Casey is proud to lead the percussion section for some of NYC's coolest bands, performing regularly with Carmine & Friends, Scott Wilson & Efendi and The Elias Ladino Ensemble. She’s featured on Scott Wilson’s CD Live from Jebon, available on Amazon Music. (And watch for a soon-to-be-released CD from the Elias Ladino Ensemble!)
