Bringing the DOUM to the room!
Whether you’re a complete novice or an intermediate drummer, Casey’s funky, friendly and oh-so-inclusive percussion ensemble workshops will help develop, encourage and support your rhythmic goals. Her New York-based percussion group, Raq Steady, is comprised of her students who range from beginners to experienced musicians. Casey has written dozens of original percussion compositions that accommodate every skill level, so everyone has a place to contribute. Drum solos are great but there’s nothing like playing with other musicians! When teaching at festivals, participants learn an ensemble composition, often leading to a gala performance onstage as “Raq Steady & Friends.”
